A group, the Rivers Patriotic Forum (RPF) has named Hon Charles Anyanwu, a former law maker and local government chairman, as one of the outstanding politicians in the state. The group in statement signed by Fabian Moses Urang and Wariso Wariso, Convener and Secretary, respectively, disclosed that the decision to name Hon. Charles Anyanwu, as one of the most outstanding politicians in the state, is part of its project to identify and project credible politicians in the state as a model for emulation. The project which is on-going involves through and intense research, investigative reporting and background checks that was carefully carried out by the group.

In a statement made available to the media, the Rivers Patriotic Forum, affirmed that Hon. Charles Anyanwu, who hails from Etche local government area of Rivers state, is an outstanding Rivers politician, who has distinguished himself in various spheres of human endeavors, and his political track records in the state.

According to the statement, Hon Charles Anyanwu has patiently followed and understood the rudiments of Rivers politics and governance, hence, he was adjudged by the group as an outstanding Rivers politician.

The statement further said that Hon Charles Anyanwu, has served both his local government (Etche) and the state diligently in various capacities without blemish, where he showcased and displayed his competence and capabilities, pointing out that as a one time member of the Rivers State House Of Assembly, caretaker chairman of Etche local government area and Special Adviser on Youths in the Niger Delta Development commission ( NDDC), Hon Charles Anyanwu was not found wanting in any way, rather, he used the office to extend hands of fellowship to the people of his local government area, in particular and the state in general, initiating and subsequently embarking on various development projects and empowerment programs that had direct impact on the people.

The group further stated that, Hon Charles Anyanwu made a tremendous impact on the youths of the state, Special Adviser on Youths in the Niger Delta Development commission (NDDC), pointing out that, Charles Anyanwu being a youth also knows the feelings of the youths, which was why he made youths empowerment a priority.

The group also disclosed that Hon Charles Anyanwu is a politician that listens and attends to the yearnings of the people at any given political opportunity, noting that such people like Charles Anyanwu who are selfless, with open heart , wisdom and a strong political will should be projected as role models in the society.

The statement further stated that the Rivers Political Forum is a bi-partisan association of young Rivers professionals, activists and intellectuals, committed to good governance and all inclusive government that would have direct bearing on the people of the state.
